The Difference You Make: How Will You Wear Yours?

Kilts for Kids Day is about more than just having fun. Many children in Scotland endure frightening, lonely and desperately unhappy childhoods.

We want to lift the dark clouds and build happy, healthy, safe and brighter futures for Scotland’s children and young people.

Last year, CHILDREN 1ST supported 5,286 children, young people and their families.

Our free and confidential helpline and email service ParentLine Scotland, answered 3,000 calls and emails from parents and carers who needed to talk to someone about their worries.

It costs us over £21,000 a day to run all of the services we operate across the country. Fundraising events like Kilts for Kids Day help us achieve so much but with your help we can do even more.

If you want to find out more about why Kilts for Kids Day is important, meet the children we help. You can also find out how your donations help children across Scotland by looking at where your money goes.
