Boys' Brigade: How Will You Wear Yours?

Whether you are in the Anchors, the Juniors, on the Discover programme or participating in Challenge Plus, Kilts for Kids can fit into your awards programme and help enhance your achievements.

  • Anchor and Junior Programme Zones
    – Body: organise a sponsored sporting event
    – Mind: hold a quiz about Scotland or have a treasure hunt around your community
    – Community: sell Kilts for Kids badges in your local community and help spread the word about the work CHILDREN 1ST do
    – Creativity: create a recipe using Scottish ingredients and hold a bake sale
  • Discover Programme Zones
    – Recreation: hold a sponsored orienteering challenge
    – Community: help to pack shopping bags at your local supermarket to raise funds for Kilts for Kids
    – Skills: use your computer to make posters for Kilts for Kids and put them up around your community
  • Challenge Plus Project Zones
    Kilts for Kids can be incorporated into any of these three project zones to give an added dimension to it.
    – Community: organise a fundraising event for CHILDREN 1ST and invite your local community
    – Life skills: get in touch with your local newspaper and ask if you can write an article about what you’ve done for Kilts for Kids
    – Recreation and leisure: be adventurous! Take part in a sponsored abseil or rock climb
  • Challenge Plus
    – Group or individual challenges could have a Scottish twist. For example, you could hold a sponsored Munro Climb where the participants wear tartan
