
Mediation In Education
The Mediation In Education services are independent mediation services for families in dispute with the Council about the additional learning support to be provided for the education of a child or young person.
Families have a right to request this service under the Additional Support for Learning Act. The Service is voluntary and confidential.
Mediation is a way of resolving disputes using an independent, trained mediator to help people talk to each other, understand each other’s point of view and reach agreement on a mutually acceptable way forward.
There are Mediation In Education Services in the following locations:
- Aberdeenshire (based in Fraserburgh)
- Highland (Killen, Black Isle)
- Moray
