Paris Marathon
Take in the beauty of Paris as you embark on one of the most popular marathons in Europe.
The Paris Marathon – or Marathon de Paris, as the French would say – attracts more than 40,000 runners every year. Its course, which starts out in front of the Arc de Triomphe and makes its way down the Champs Elysées, takes you past world-famous sights including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre.
You'll also run along the River Seine on wide, scenic avenues, guaranteeing comfortable, flat ground and a minimal chance of overcrowding. So why not take the opportunity to be part of Europe’s oldest running event and go on a breathtaking sightseeing tour of Paris while raising money for CHILDREN 1ST?
How will CHILDREN 1ST support me?
Join Team CHILDREN 1ST and we will provide you with a choice of running top and a range of fundraising materials to get your sponsorship started. We will also provide you with our top tips and ideas for fundraising to really help you on your way to hit your target while you train.
How do I register?
CHILDREN 1ST has teamed up with Sports Tours International to offer marathon places and competitively priced packages for travel and accommodation. Please book your place at the Paris Marathon directly with Sports Tours International. Once your place is confirmed, contact the CHILDREN 1ST events team on 0131 319 8068 or at running@children1st.org.uk and we will help to get you started with your fundraising.
How much sponsorship do I have to raise?
There is no minimum sponsorship pledge for this race but we ask that you raise as much as you can for CHILDREN 1ST. We suggest a personal sponsorship target of £500. Every penny you raise helps us to take action for Scotland’s vulnerable children and families.
