Virgin London Marathon
The London Marathon is simply one of the greatest road races in the world. As one of the World Marathon Majors, it offers tons of excitement, drama, pressure and fun, as well as the special brand of magic provided by the fantastic London spectators and their city.
It is also one of the major events for charity fundraising in Britain, and every year, hundreds of runners take up the mantle in support of their chosen charity.
CHILDREN 1ST have guaranteed ‘Gold Bond' places for the race. We have 5 places in total, so our London Marathon team is small and perfectly formed! We can offer you dedicated support for your training, so that you are always a phone call away from the advice that you need.
In return, we ask that you raise a minimum sponsorship of £1200 to help us in our mission to give every child in Scotland a safe and secure childhood. And we will be there for dedicated fundraising support so that you reach your sponsorship target.
James Paterson, one of our runners from 2009, would like to inspire you to take the challenge and says "All the training, fundraising and preparation was more than worth it. The main thing for me wasn't the time it took me to run it, it was all about crossing the finish line knowing that I had raised money for such a worthy cause!"
