Kilts for Kids: How Will You Wear Yours?
Kilts for Kids is a national fundraising activity celebrating all things Scottish in support of Scotland’s leading children’s charity, CHILDREN 1ST. All the money raised helps CHILDREN 1ST to listen, support and take action for Scotland’s vulnerable children and families.
Since 2008, thousands of people have taken part in Kilts for Kids organising their own Scottish-themed fundraising event. From bake sales to mini highland games or simply wearing something tartan, there is something for everyone.
This year our new mascot Hamish the Highland Cow is helping us make Kilts for Kids even bigger with opportunities to get involved throughout the year. Events will be focused around key Scottish days such as St Andrew’s Day (November 30), Burns Night (January 25) and Tartan Day (April 6), but really you can fundraise anytime during the year, whenever you feel like celebrating our national culture.
You can pick one of our ideas or come up with something totally different! Our fundraising pack is a great way to get started or check out our resources page.
Please help us make this our most successful year yet by helping to raise funds for Scotland’s most vulnerable children, young people and their families in your local community.
Let us know if you’re joining the clan this year by emailing kiltsforkids@children1st.org.uk.
Keep an eye out for Hamish, he likes to moo-ve about the country or keep up-to date with his adventures via Twitter or on Facebook where he has his own account.
You can also keep in touch with us and receive updates on how the campaign is going by signing up to our enewsletter.
