£3 million raised for charities in Scotland
Thursday 17 September 2009
Players of the People's Postcode Lottery have done it once again, as yet another million mark is soon to be passed in support of Scottish charities.
It was only March this year that saw charities, the lottery and players celebrating a momentous £2 million for Scottish causes.
But it's the most recent revelation that's the most astounding: very soon over £3 million will have been raised for Scottish charities. Of that astonishing amount - over £700,000 has been raised for CHILDREN 1ST. That is more than enough to run three of our family support services for one year.
So from Scotland's leading child welfare charity to all the players of Scotland's very own lottery, we would like to send our most heartfelt thanks. Together we are helping to bring closer to reality our vision of a happy, healthy, safe and secure childhood for every child and young person in Scotland.
