Kilts for Kids Day is an award winner
19/11/2009
CHILDREN 1ST's national fundraising event Kilts for Kids Day scooped a top award at the Institute of Fundraising (IOF) Scotland Conference.
The Partnership Award recognised the support that Kilts for Kids received from schools, businesses and organisation with over 260 taking part involving an estimated 10,000 individuals and raising £92,000.
The judges were also impressed by the way CHILDREN 1ST's staff got involved in supporting the event. CHILDREN 1ST staff received the award at the IOF Jeans and Ginger dinner held on 11 November at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.
Kilts for Kids Day is Scotland’s most fun charity event and is a chance to celebrate all things Scottish and raise money for CHILDREN 1ST. This year Kilts for Kids Day is on 27 November.
It is easy to get involved and do something tartan-tastic. You can host a tartan day, have a dress down tartan day at work, organise a Kiltaoke or a Scottish themed quiz night. All the money raised from Kilts for Kids Day will go to CHILDREN 1ST's work with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children here in Scotland.
