Touch of Tartan Ball - Presentation for Sponsors

Aberdeen Lord Provost, Peter Stephen, held a reception at the Town House to thank the sponsors of the CHILDREN 1ST Touch of Tartan Ball. This major annual fundraising event held in November 2009, raised in excess of £107,000.
The 2009 headline sponsors BP, Dales Engineering, Enterprise Engineering, Pentagon Freight, Rigmar Services and Transocean were presented with mementos of the event. Many other valued sponsors of the Ball including Anderson Anderson & Brown LLP, Bristow Helicopter Group, Logik Image Management, Optima Solutions and Marathon Oil were also thanked. Also present at the Town House was Joe Mackie of First Group who is the Chairman of Committee for the 2010 Ball.
Lord Provost Stephen thanked all of the sponsors and volunteer members of the organising Committee for contributing to such a worthy charity as CHILDREN 1ST, and conveyed his wishes for the event’s success to continue.
Andreas Nagel, Chairman of the 2009 Touch of Tartan Ball committee, said: “It was an honour and a pleasure to be Chairman of the 2009 Touch of Tartan Ball. The evening was a tremendous success after a very uncertain economic year for everyone. The incredible total raised was a superb amount and will go a long way to help in the work of CHILDREN 1ST here in the North East. I thank everyone who attended the Ball and all who contributed to the resounding success of the event.”
