People’s Postcode Lottery: over £1m raised
Friday 14 May 2010
We are delighted to announce that the players of the People's Postcode Lottery in Scotland have raised over one million pounds for CHILDREN 1ST.
To mark this amazing milestone, representatives from the People's Postcode Lottery attended the CHILDREN 1ST Glitter Ball in Edinburgh on Friday 30th April. People’s Postcode Lottery street prize presenters, Angus Purden and Judie McCourt were there, dressed to the nines, to celebrate the partnership.
Angus presented a cheque to the CHILDREN 1ST chief executive Anne Houston, representing the entire amount of £1,129,055 the partnership has raised for CHILDREN 1ST to date.
The children and families we support are often among the hardest hit by the current economic climate. The People's Postcode Lottery provides CHILDREN 1ST with a reliable source of unrestricted income, meaning that we can use the money where it is most needed.
Every week players in one lucky postcode win big through the People's Postcode Lottery. And, every day, the money raised through this innovative partnership gives Scotland's most vulnerable children a chance for a safer, happier and more secure childhood.
So, if you are already a player of the People's Postcode Lottery, thank you for your support. If you are not a player, you can find out more at www.postcodelottery.com.
