Thursday 23 September 2010
A corporate reception for business leaders in Scotland is set to take place on Tuesday 28 September at The Marcliffe Hotel & Spa in Aberdeen.
The speaker for the event has been revealed and the hosts are proud to welcome Mark Simmons, Temporary Head of Operations of Forensic Services North. Mark manages the forensic support service for the North and North East of Scotland, covering Grampian Police and Northern Constabulary areas.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to CHILDREN 1ST.
This annual event will be the sixth time business leaders have been invited to come together to network, hear speakers and raise money for the charity. Mark Simmons will be joining a list of prestigious speakers including Sir Ian Wood, Sarah Malone and Robert Cook.
Jeanette Forbes, Chair of the CHILDREN 1ST Aberdeen Business Group, said: “We are extremely proud to have secured Mark Simmons, to speak at the Corporate Reception. Our fascination with forensic science and programmes like CSI continues to grow and I like others shall be intrigued to hear about the work being carried out in relation to DNA in crime investigation and how this plays a major part in bringing criminals to justice.”
“This event is always popular among business leaders. Not only do they find it to be worthwhile in terms of networking but we also manage to raise money for CHILDREN 1ST. All proceeds go to CHILDREN 1ST to enable them to continue providing and improving services for the children in Scotland who are most in need of help.”
Tickets for the event cost £37 or £200 for a table of six. A two course lunch is included in the ticket price. Please call 01224 251151 to book your place.
