Monday 29 November 2010
Mr and Miss Scotland bounced into action to celebrate the news that People's Postcode Lottery players have raised over £10 Million for charity.
Gavin MacDonald and Nicola Mimnagh joined youngsters at St Vincent's Primary School in East Kilbride to mark the charity milestone.
People's Postcode Lottery represents a unique fundraising concept – players play with their postcodes to win cash prizes while raising money for selected charities. As a charity lottery, £2 from every monthly ticket sold goes to selected charities. All the money raised by players in Scotland stays in Scotland.
As an original charity partner in Scotland, CHILDREN 1ST has received almost £1.4 million in unrestricted income from the People’s Postcode Lottery. During these difficult economic times, this amazing support is more important than ever. The players of the People’s Postcode Lottery are making a real difference in the lives of some of Scotland’s most vulnerable children and families.
To sign up for People’s Postcode Lottery and be in with the chance to win up to £30,000 five times every month while supporting local charities, register your postcode at www.postcodelottery.com or call free on 0808 10 98765.
