Corporate partnership built to last!
Monday 17 March 2008
The UK's largest home improvement and garden centre retailer is helping to build a brighter future for Scotland's children.
Alongside our sister charities the NSPCC and the ISPCC in Ireland, CHILDREN 1ST will benefit from a three-year 'charity of the year' partnership with B&Q.
From February 2008, B&Q will support CHILDREN 1ST through a wide range of initiatives, from fundraising to volunteering.
Jo Anderson, corporate development manager at CHILDREN 1ST, said "We are delighted to be one of the chosen charities of the year for B&Q. CHILDREN 1ST comes into contact with children, many of whom have suffered traumas that we, as adults, couldn't possibly imagine. The support of B&Q means that we will be able to reach and help even more vulnerable and disadvantaged children across Scotland."
Claire Finch, B&Q's community social responsibility co-ordinator, said: "We are delighted to be working with CHILDREN 1ST and are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship."
For more details about the partnership, contact Lou Lanos at CHILDREN 1ST on 0131 446 2300 or email lou.lanos@children1st.org.uk. More information on B&Q is available at www.diy.com.
