Steering Group

The work of the Safeguarding in Sport service is supported by a steering group made up of a number of organisations representing both sport and the welfare and protection of children and young people.

We have links with the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland; the Central Registered Body in Scotland; Child Protection Committees and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIE).

Safeguarding in Sport also works in partnership with the Child Protection in Sport Unit, a partnership between the NSPCC, Sport England, Sports Council for Wales and the Sports Council for Northern Ireland to promote the sharing of resources and consistency of practice across the UK.
