Network Groups
Scottish Governing Body Network Group
This forum was set up to support people within sports governing bodies who had the lead responsibility in child protection. The objectives of the group are:
- to provide a structured opportunity to network with other key individuals and to share information and experiences in the development and implementation of child protection programmes
- to provide an opportunity to discuss/provide training on specific areas identified by participants
- to provide an opportunity for consultation in the development of child protection in sport.
Local Authority Network Group
This group is aimed at those involved in sport and leisure activities who are able to take forward the child protection agenda within their local authority or leisure trust. The forum has the same objectives as that of the Scottish governing Body group, namely:
- to provide a structured opportunity to network with other key individuals from local authorities across Scotland, and to share information and experiences in the development and implementation of child protection programmes
- to provide an opportunity to discuss and/or provide training on specific areas identified by participants
- to provide an opportunity for consultation in the development of child protection in sport.
