ChildLine in Scotland

The ChildLine service in Scotland is delivered by CHILDREN 1ST on behalf of the NSPCC. All funds raised for ChildLine in Scotland are raised by the NSPCC.
ChildLine has three counselling bases in Scotland in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh. From these our trained volunteer counsellors give support, protection and help to children and young people who ring ChildLine with worries about any problem or issue, 365 days a year.
As well as the main ChildLine service, ChildLine in Scotland also runs two dedicated phone lines for children and young people affected by particular issues:
Bullying Line
Bullying is one of the most common concerns young people ring us about. We therefore operate a dedicated freephone bullying helpline (0800 44 11 11) for children and young people who are experiencing bullying. The Bullying Line is funded by the Scottish Government.
The Line
The Line is a special freephone helpline (0800 88 44 44) for children and young people living away from home; including children who are in care, at boarding school or who have to spend a long time in hospital.
Children and young people can speak to ChildLine. We know what children and young people need, how to communicate with them and the issues that affect their lives.
We seek to influence policy by conveying the collective voice of young people to those who can make a difference to their lives. We also work extensively in schools and communities, on a training and consultancy basis, to increase knowledge and awareness of the issues and needs of children and young people.
Get involved. ChildLine in Scotland needs your support as a volunteer or fundraiser.
