CHILDREN 1ST has pioneered the development of family group conference services across Scotland.
The Midlothian Family Group Conference service works to bring together families where there are concerns about a child, to help them participate in the decision making processes and find their own solutions to difficulties. The process builds on the strengths of the wider family and is based on the belief that given resources, information and power, families will make safe decisions for their children.
