Volunteer Call Takers
Volunteer call takers are the front line of our service, providing support, help and information to parents and carers who contact us for support via our helpline or email service.
No previous experience is necessary as full training is provided through a 40 hour telephone counselling skills-based training course before going on-line. Volunteers then receive one-to-one support and supervision and further development opportunities are available.
We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of one shift per week, which equates to around 3.5 to 4 hours. Shifts are available on weekday mornings, afternoons and some evenings.
