Events Volunteer (Action Group Member)
We need volunteers to join with others in their local area to organise local events both to raise awareness about CHILDREN 1ST and to raise vital funds for our work. Events range from coffee mornings and race nights to school plays and balls.
You can choose the amount of hours you work, and the groups meet monthly either in the evenings or daytime (dependent upon the group availability). Ideally you will be able to lead on or help organise these events so the position may involve extra time between meetings or around events dependent upon your time and interest.
Being an events volunteer for CHILDREN 1ST provides an excellent opportunity to make friends, brush up on or increase your organisational skills and add experience to your CV as well as playing a crucial role in helping vulnerable children and families in Scotland.
We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 months although ideally you will see the group through a full calendar year of events. Most of our events volunteers remain with the group for a number of years building on experience and expertise and enjoying the group work.
Hours
Evenings or weekends dependent upon group (2 hour meetings).
