Sessional Child and Family Support Workers
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Moray Families Together service working in partnership with social work services to support children, young people and their families. We are looking for enthusiastic, warm, creative and relational workers to complement our team to offer individual and family support; peer led groups and taking part in community activities. This is an exciting yet demanding role which will require you to get alongside children and their families where, when and how best suits them.
At Children 1st we work with the whole family, and we see our relationships as the key to our approach in creating lasting change. We believe in rights based support where children and families voices are at the heart of what we do. We offer whole families space and time to tell their stories, make sense of their difficulties and help them to find their solutions. You will have a good understanding of the impact of trauma and adversity on families and their relationships. You will work with the team in planning the work with children and their families, to promote children’s safety and wellbeing.
In turn, you will join a relational, connected organisation that prioritises quality and supports its workforce to deliver this through strong relationships, as we realise this is what makes the biggest difference to children and families.
If you have experience of working with children and their families and have an SVQ Level 3/ HNC or equivalent in Child Care/Social Care or related area, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 7 then… we want to hear from you.
