140 years protecting Scotland's children
140 years ago on 23rd July 1884, Children 1st was founded by James Grahame with the famous words:
“If not us , then who?”
Since then, thanks to our supporters, partners, volunteers, colleagues, children and families we have achieved amazing things together for children across Scotland.
However, as we mark this significant milestone many children in Scotland are still living in crisis. One in four children live in poverty. As the cost-of-living crisis deepens and parents are under more pressure, it is getting harder to ensure that children are protected from harm. Today, children need our support more than ever.
Please join us in marking Children 1st's 140th anniversary by sharing your hopes for children in Scotland and, if you can, by making a donation to help raise vital funds so that we can continue to protect children from harm today and tomorrow.
Share your hopes for children in Scotland
Life as we know it has changed significantly in Scotland over the past 140 years, and the challenges that children and families face have dramatically changed too. As we look to the future, our hope is that all children in Scotland can grow up safe, loved and well with their families.
What are your hopes for children in Scotland? Please share these with us using this form, or by emailing a video or audio clip to communications@children1st.org.uk
