Children 1st partners with GlobalGrandparents®

An innovative new communication platform to help grandparents and grandchildren, separated by distance and time zones, to stay in touch is partnering with Children 1st.

GlobalGrandparents® provides a custom built, private and secure platform to allow grandparents to communicate directly with grandchildren around the world. Keep precious family updates, photographs and memories private, rather than shared with, or accessible by the broader social media community.

The founder of GlobalGrandparents®, Danny Ferguson said “Our mission is to make a difference to the lives of grandparents around the world, and to directly support organisations who are improving the lives of children and their families.  We are delighted to be partnering with Children 1st, and to support the fantastic work they are doing for children and families in Scotland.”

Matthew Hall, Corporate Fundraiser with Children 1st, said “the world may be getting smaller, but staying in touch with family still proves a challenge for many. The currently available social networks can be too complex, or lack enough privacy and security for many silver-surfers’ liking.

GlobalGrandparents® is a progressive solution to this, and we’re delighted that the children and families that rely on Children 1st for support will be able to benefit from its realization.”

The support will take the form of a regular financial contribution, as well as use of the platform for Children 1st service users. For further information visit the newly launched website: www.globalgrandparents.com
