Allan Doig was a man who put Scotland’s children first. For twenty-eight years he was a leading figure in the planning and delivery of the Touch of Tartan Ball, one of Scotland’s largest and most successful fundraising events, held annually in Aberdeen and raising over £1.7million for Children 1st, Scotland’s national children’s charity.
Over the last two years of his life, Allan had been a member of the Children 1st Board, advising senior management on development plans and playing a key role in governance. So, it was with much sadness that Children 1st learned of his death in June 2016 following a short illness.
On behalf of the children and families Allan helped us support and champion we remember him with great respect and he will be greatly missed.
