Family Support Worker
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growing Family Wellbeing Service working alongside children and their families in Moray (Elgin based) who are experiencing emotional distress, to offer early help and build strong relationships.
We are looking for a Family Support Worker who is passionate about protecting children in the context of their families, with a strong value base and personal resilience.
At Children 1st we work with the whole family and we see our relationships as the key to our approach to improving wellbeing. For this we seek a Family Support Worker who is compassionate, highly skilled and experienced in working systemically and has the personal resilience for the role. We offer whole families space and time to tell their stories, make sense of their difficulties and help them to find their solutions. You will have a sound knowledge of the impact of trauma and adversity on parenting and on children and you will work with the team in planning the work with children and their families, in order to promote children’s safety and wellbeing.
In turn you will join a relational, connected organisation that prioritises quality and supports its workforce to deliver this through strong relationships, as we realise this is what makes the biggest difference to children and families.
If you have experience of working with children and their families and have an SVQ Level 3/ HNC or equivalent in Child Care/Social Care or related area, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 7 then… we want to hear from you.
This is a permanent, full time post of 35 hours per week, to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service.
