This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team getting alongside children, young people and their families in East Renfrewshire who are experiencing emotional distress, to offer early help and build strong relationships.

As a member of the East Renfrewshire Family Wellbeing Service team you will offer children and families the space and time to tell their stories and with them agree how we can best help.  As a team of staff and volunteers with a broad range of skills, knowledge and experience we are able to offer families support which best meet their needs including intensive whole family support; group/peer support and befriending/mentoring support.

Working at Children 1st you will embrace our relational and restorative approach to practice to help families make sense of their difficulties and help life feel better.  Working closely with children, families, colleagues and partners in the local community – relationships will be at the heart of everything you do.

If you have experience of working with children and their families and have a professional qualification in a relevant area such as Social Work, Teaching or equivalent in Child Care/Social Care or related area, accredited counselling qualification, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 9 or higher then we want to hear from you.

Further Info

This is a fixed term, full time post of 35 hours per week to cover a period of maternity leave, initially until 31 May 2022. Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service and the families, regular evening and occasional weekend work will be required.
