Children 1st welcomes announcement of access to Solihull online for parents and carers

Children 1st welcomes the Scottish Government announcement that all parents and carers can now access Solihull online to support them to develop stronger relationships with their children during the coronavirus crisis.

Mary Glasgow, Chief Executive, Children 1st said: “We welcome the announcement today of support for parents through Solihull online. Understanding how and why children and young people may be reacting to the changes that coronavirus has made to their lives can help parents and carers to respond more supportively.

"Helping children to regulate their emotions, and to feel safe, secure and loved will reduce their anxiety and build their resilience. Children and families need as much emotional support as practical help to cope through coronavirus and it is really encouraging to see the First Minister prioritise family relationships, at this time.”
