Help to talk to your teens about smoking
A NEW online guide has been published to help parents and carers talk to teenagers about smoking.
The ASH Scotland resource, which is supported by Children 1st, gives helpful hints, tips and information to leave parents and carers feeling more confident in discussing smoking with the young people they love.
In the resource, ASH Scotland provides high quality and up-to-date information including the latest facts and figures on teenage smoking and how to understand what’s behind teenager’s behaviour and how parents and carers can respond in a way which helps them to manage it.
In addition, there’s also information on the impact smoking can have to both physical and mental health and wellbeing as well as advice on the current law and e-cigarettes and vaping.
