About Investors in People
Launched in 1991, Investors in People is the UK's leading people management standard. It specialises in transforming business performance through people. Those that meet the performance requirements of Investors in People recognise that there are a number of real business benefits. These benefits include increased staff retention, motivation, productivity and ease of cultural change.
Children 1st was first assessed as meeting the requirements of the Investors in People (IIP) standard in March 2008. Re-assessment is done on a three-year cycle and we have been successful in retaining this status at each re-assessment.
The standard was revised and updated in September 2015 and is organised into 3 main areas, with specific best practices supporting each as follows:
