Every family has found this year tough, for thousands of children across Scotland it’s been horrific.

Many children haven’t known where the next meal is coming from, have seen parents arguing or fighting as relationships collapse, or seen their parents’ depression, anxiety or problems with alcohol or drugs get worse. COVID19 has pushed many families to breaking point. Every child deserves a safe and happy Christmas. Many are afraid that’s not going to happen.

Children 1st Parentline offers children and families across Scotland a lifeline. 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Children 1st Parentline provides practical, emotional and financial support to families who are at the end of their tether.

Last Christmas, families told us Children 1st Parentline was the only place they could turn to on Christmas Day.

Thanks to our supporters and partners, we can keep the doors open at Children 1st Parentline. Our 12 Doors of Christmas campaign celebrates their efforts and lets more families know that Children 1st Parentline is here for them. This year, we have invited businesses to give us a fun, festive glimpse behind their doors and we can’t wait to see the results!

On this page, from the 1st of December, you can begin seeing behind the doors of 12 businesses and corporate partners who are working with us to protect and support children across Scotland. You can also follow the hashtag #12DoorsofChristmas on social media.

From everyone at Children 1st, we’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing donors, volunteers and supporters. Your support will help to keep children together with their families this Christmas and give them access to the support they need to feel happy and safe at home, now and always.
