Every family needs a little extra support from time to time. Some face challenges so difficult that it can affect their children’s happiness, health and safety. Early help can make all the difference to a child’s life. That’s why our Parentline service wants to make sure every family in Scotland can get support from their home at the touch of a button.

Since being established 20 years ago in 1999, Parentline has supported over 50,000 families via phone, text, email and web chat. Parentline volunteers are ready to listen 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including Christmas Day.

Last year, between 21 December 2018 and 8 January 2019, 135 people contacted Parentline seeking support and advice.

Our 12 Doors of Christmas campaign aims to celebrate the supporters who help us keep those doors open to families across Scotland over Christmas and beyond. Please follow the hashtag #12DoorsofChristmas on social media to watch our fun and festive videos.

To support the campaign text XMAS to 70144 to donate £10, or donate below.

From everyone at Children 1st, we’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing donors, volunteers and supporters who protect and support children across Scotland.

Merry Christmas!
