Coping with the rising cost of living
Thousands of families across Scotland are worried about covering their essential living costs. Everyone is paying more for energy and food. Many families across Scotland are reaching out for support and we are here to help.
Dealing with money worries is really hard and can feel overwhelming. We will listen, help you make sense of your finances and offer practical solutions to reduce your money worries.
You can get help with:
- Putting a budget together and understanding what bills are important.
- Seeing if you can increase the amount of money, you have coming in by doing a benefit check.
- Applying for benefits.
- Ways to reduce your spending and to budgeting.
- Seeing if any grants available to help reduce your money worries.
- Dealing with creditors.
- Ways to deal with unmanageable debts based on your situation.
As well as practical support from our money advice team, our wider Children 1st team can help you cope with the stress and anxiety money worries can cause and any wider challenges your family are facing.
