Share your family’s good memories in our summer competition!

This summer we’re encouraging families across Scotland to share their positive memories of the past few months as part of a special summer postcard competition.

Our Children 1st Parentline Good Memories postcards are a great way to encourage children and young people to talk to their families about a good memory from their summer, by drawing or writing about it on a postcard and sending it to us via social media.

Hannah Judge, from our Family Wellbeing team, explains that the memories don’t need to be anything extravagant like a holiday because small moments that bring joy are just as important.

She said: “Focusing our attention to what is working well and reflecting on positive memories can help make tough times feel more manageable for children and families.

“For this reason, we wanted to create a way  for children and their families to share and celebrate what has worked well for you in lockdown.

“We would love to hear about any successes, good news stories and acts of kindness you or your loved ones experienced.”

To take part, simply draw or print off a copy of the postcard, for your child to draw or write about a good memory. Then share your child's entry and tag us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

The best entry by Monday 10th August will win a small prize.
